October (www.october.eu) is a leading European data-driven FinTech company. Our mission is ‘to empower businesses by simplifying and democratising their funding’ (‘crowdlending’). We diversify the way SME’s finance themselves, reduce their dependency of, and deliver faster and better value than traditional banks. We are passionate about making SME’s grow: over €260 million has been lent since our launch in 2015, by over 15,000 active lenders, to finance over 500 different SME-projects. Following a successful Series C, October raised a total of €51 million from top investors mixing a venture capital fund, insurance companies, an asset manager, successful entrepreneurs, and a family-owned bank.
October is growing fast. Our team currently consists of 90 (and counting!) people in Paris, Madrid, Milan and Amsterdam. As you may have guessed, we are expanding our team in Milan. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely high growth FinTech start-up, that has established a proven business model in Europe.
Not to mention, we are proud that in 2018 we have been ranked in the KPMG and H2 Ventures Fintech100… for the third year in a row! We have also been named as Great Growth Company to work for in Europe in 2019.
The October culture and values
At October we believe that a great culture is fundamental to our success and work by our company values; we always think about the customer experience first, and believe transparency is the best way to irrevocably commit to integrity and fairness for all stakeholders, building trust to weather cycles and crises. Bringing together talented and diverse people, learning with them, and rewarding their hard work and commitment to the team is the best way to achieve our goals. We are proud users of our own product and humble in taking user feedback as our greatest inspiration to improve.
What we do, and how we do it, is a new experience that makes our lives richer. At the Milan office, we work hard and enjoy doing so with local and international teams at the same time. Working at October is intense and rewarding, with plenty of autonomy and responsibilities.
